Architecture, Enterprise Architect - Brisbane

Francois joined onepoint as part of its rapidly growing APAC team, with his base out of sunny Brisbane.  He is a Technology Strategy leader, having authored roadmaps and delivered programs of work valued over $1.3 Billion with twenty years’ experience driving market-leading, industry-changing transformations. He has led teams through IT strategy, architecture, audit and road mapping in the public and private sectors, ranging from SMEs to super-massive global enterprise organisations. Francois passion is with Quantum Compute-as-a-Service (QCaaS), and he is looking forward to help solving some of the challenges the adoption of this technology enables.

Francois grew up in South-Africa, but soon after finishing his studies he started seeing the world, first living in the UK, and then as a photographer onboard cruise ships.  This is where his interest in technology grew, and where he helped pioneer the transition from analogue to digital photography.

He continued in the industry, supporting a global-follow the sun model from Hungary for the next eight years, before starting his own company in South Africa and moving to Australia in 2013.  He has been involved in several start-ups and enjoy volunteering his time with SMB’s looking for the next step in their IT strategy journey.

He enjoys long walks along the bay with his family and pet Jack Russell, and especially enjoys cheering his son on, who is an up-and-coming Tennis star.
