Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur Modernizes Its Employees’ Work Tools

The health crisis led Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur (ACA) to look for new solutions that would allow employees to continue communicating and working collaboratively. After an initial partial deployment of the Teams tool, ACA began to modernize its work environment globally. With this in mind, the company implemented a collaborative environment based on Microsoft solutions. This choice aligns with their goal of creating a more flexible and secure work environment.

The Challenge of Change: Boosting Tool Adoption through Training

At the beginning of 2023, ACA expanded the use of Microsoft 365 collaborative tools across the organization.

This project marked a significant step towards new work methods focused on collaboration and cross-functionality, involving nearly 600 users with diverse roles, including administrative, technical, and operations staff.

It was crucial for this project to be successful among ACA employees. The IT Department decided to enlist Onepoint to support users in adopting these new tools.

The Approach: Rethinking the Learner Experience and Adopting a Customized Training Program

The approach proposed by Onepoint involved assessing the usage, maturity level, and expectations of users regarding collaborative tools to design tailored training paths, with the support of the internal IT and HR teams.

To promote progressive skill development, a two-level knowledge training path was proposed in a hybrid format (in-person and online): a “Collaborative Tools Introduction” session followed by an “Advanced Collaborative Tools” session.

The involvement of all Directors at Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur was crucial for the success of the program. To address this challenge, Onepoint initiated individual training sessions specifically for this group.

In addition to the training, Onepoint provided strategic advice on additional support mechanisms such as communication and governance around collaborative tools.

Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur: Successful Adoption of New Collaborative Practices

The program enabled Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur to train employees from various backgrounds: administrative, technical, and operations staff, as well as directors. Today, new collaborative practices are emerging, demonstrating the benefits of the support services provided.

Message from the IT Department at Aéroports de la Côte d’Azur:

“Following the migration of workstations to Office 365, the IT Department entrusted Onepoint with the change management project for ACA employees to familiarize them with the daily use of the new O365 tools, including Teams, OneDrive, OneNote, and SharePoint.

With its expertise, Onepoint was able to meet ACA’s needs and successfully execute this change management project, thanks to their commitment, expertise, and the quality of the in-person and online training sessions provided, as well as the documentation dedicated to employees to enhance their O365 knowledge.

On a voluntary basis, employees trained on O365 tools are now leading the change by implementing new collaborative working methods, promoting information sharing and communication within their teams.”
