Our talents awarded as LGBT+ Role Models and Allies 2023
Every year, L’Autre Cercle organizes the “LGBT+ Role Models and Allies” event to celebrate and honor those who stand out for their leadership, commitment, and achievements in promoting LGBT+ inclusion at work. It is with great pride that we announce that this year, two of our talents have been awarded: Vincent Arsicot in the category “LGBT+ Role Model Leaders” and Delphine Boussion in the category “Allied Role Model Leaders.”
An event to celebrate inclusion in businesses
Today, “LGBT+ diversity” represents between 9% and 11% of the French population. Among them, 70% have intentionally avoided mentioning their partner’s gender, and 50% are not “out” at work. Only 18% of lesbian women are open about their sexuality at work. Moreover, a significant number still do not benefit from their rights due to the fear of administrative coming-out.
L’Autre Cercle, a French association committed to the inclusion of LGBT+ individuals in the workplace, organizes an event with a clear objective: to highlight LGBT+ professionals and allies who demonstrate exceptional commitment to inclusion and visibility for the LGBT+ community.
The LGBT+ Role Models and Allies ceremony is held under the High Patronage of Mr. Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, thus emphasizing the importance the government places on diversity and inclusion in the professional world. It took place on a symbolic date: October 10, 2023, the International Coming Out Day.
Our commitment to a stable and secure environment
The commitment of our employees in the development, establishment, and promotion of inclusion within Onepoint, through their actions, dedication, and leadership, has been recognized by their peers, by L’Autre Cercle, and by the entire LGBT+ community.
Vincent and Delphine are part of an internal working group on LGBT+ inclusion topics and play a key role in creating an inclusive and respectful work environment.
I am happy to be part of this collective, to contribute my part to the building, and I feel particularly proud when our colleagues thank us for our concrete actions in favor of inclusion. It is an honor to be a winner of the LGBT+ Role Models 2023 award from L’Autre Cercle, but more broadly, it is a recognition of the entire collective for the actions we have carried out over the past year, and it encourages us to continue our daily commitment for our colleagues and our ecosystem.
They contribute, along with the entire working group, to making our company a place where every individual can thrive in peace, feel valued, and included. Their actions are numerous, including signing the LGBT+ commitment charter from L’Autre Cercle, organizing roundtables (“Living in the workplace with pride” or during the publication of the VOILAT guide), a webinar with Webani and Legrand, an awareness guide for the teams, a “Ethics in Relationships” training for all our colleagues, and more…
While I am proud to be an awardee on an individual level, I am even prouder on a collective level. It has been just over four years now that the L’Autre Cercle association has been raising awareness on what we thought we already knew, and it is thanks to Onepoint, which promotes inclusion within the company, that today, along with our colleagues from the internal LGBTQIA+ collective, we are taking concrete actions. We continue to learn and share the knowledge we have gained over the past few years with our colleagues and our ecosystem in order to make our work environments even more inclusive. This award is not an end, but an additional motivation that pushes us to continue.
The awards given to our employees reflect our commitment to diversity and inclusion. They show that our company recognizes and actively encourages efforts towards equality and justice, both within our organization and externally. We firmly believe that inclusion is a strength that drives innovation, creativity, and growth.
