Case studies

As part of the support in choosing a new budgeting tool, we assisted the finance department in studying the impacts of implementing the CSRD and Taxonomy on the organization, processes, and finance and sustainability information systems.

Approach

We provided training for the finance department on CSRD/Taxonomy topics, analyzed the practices of similar companies, and documented the stakeholders. We conducted a double materiality analysis and identified the data to be disclosed (ESRS/datapoints). We identified the activities eligible for the taxonomy and defined the criteria for calculating green indicators. We also analyzed the impacts on the organization, processes, and information systems, and identified the tool requirements and functional application architecture.

Result

A double materiality analysis was conducted, identifying the applicable standards and information to be disclosed. We completed an impact study on the organization, processes, and systems and created a specification document for selecting the budgeting tool, incorporating CSR constraints.

We supported the client in co-building their Data x ESG roadmap, aligned with their goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2040 and the regulatory requirements of ESG Pillar III, taxonomy, and CSRD.

Approach

We provided a summary of the regulatory requirements and their operational impacts, along with a gap analysis. We conducted a SWOT analysis of several proposed Data x ESG architecture scenarios. After validating the transitional and target architecture scenarios, we outlined the required functional capabilities and supported the implementation of the Data x ESG platform.

Result

A centralized Data x ESG platform was created, addressing all ESG use cases while optimizing development and maintenance costs. We implemented a governance structure to effectively address ESG challenges and engage the entire group in achieving the goal of carbon neutrality by 2040.
