Onepoint chooses the Hôtel d’Artillerie in Rennes for its next headquarters in Bretagne

On Friday, October 6, the Onepoint – Renaissances group and the State services announced the official signing of the acquisition of the Hôtel d’Artillerie in Rennes, in the presence of representatives from the State, the city of Rennes, Renaissances, and Onepoint. Formerly owned by the State, the first city hall of Rennes, and a landmark heritage site dating back to medieval times, the Hôtel d’Artillerie will become Onepoint’s next headquarters, following its initial establishment in Rennes in 2021. In collaboration with the Bâtisseurs d’Avenir Group (Bati Armor, etc.), and its subsidiary Renaissances, a specialist in heritage rehabilitation, Onepoint plans to open this new living space to the public by the end of 2026.

Located at 26 Rue de la Monnaie in the heart of the Rennes Conservation and Enhancement Plan, the building was originally a private mansion built on the ramparts of the city’s first medieval enclosure. It later became an episcopal school, the Ducal Mint Hotel, and then the first City Hall of Rennes.

Since November 2022, the State and the Regional Directorate of Public Finances have launched a call for tenders to find a buyer capable of planning the heritage rehabilitation of the building.

A place aiming to be open to the people of Rennes in 2026

The project, currently under study, will undergo three years of work starting in 2024, with the goal of opening to the public by the end of 2026.

Designed by the Philippe Prost Architecture Agency, the heritage architect who won the 2022 National Architecture Grand Prix, the objective is to transform and rehabilitate the site into a contemporary living and working space, open to the city and its inhabitants, at the heart of Rennes.

Spanning nearly 2,000m², Onepoint’s future headquarters in Brittany will aim to offer:

  • A diverse cultural program for visitors (exhibitions, conferences, creative workshops open to all);
  • A bistronomic restaurant with a terrace overlooking the ramparts of Rennes for the general public and Onepoint’s talents;
  • Collaborative workspaces open to all.

The seventh location for Onepoint in France, this new headquarters aligns with the group’s development strategy: to establish itself in areas where French professionals want to work, live, and thrive, with more open and multi-purpose workspaces.
