Developing IT Maturity in Support of Groupe Maïsadour’s AMBiTiON 2030 Strategy

The Maïsadour Cooperative Group, a major player in agroecology and food production in the South-West of France, brings together 5,000 farmers and employs 4,300 people across 207 sites, with a network of 62 stores. Structured around four business units—Agriculture, Seeds, Poultry, and Gastronomy—Maïsadour is firmly committed to the agroecological and food transition.

To meet the challenges of the food industry, Maïsadour chose to collaborate with Onepoint as part of its AMBiTiON 2030 strategy, with the goal of strengthening the Group’s IT maturity and raising awareness of AI. The ambition is to turn these initiatives into key drivers of transformation.

Developing IT Maturity: The IMPACT Project

Maïsadour launched the IMPACT project to position itself as a benchmark player in information systems within the agri-food industry. This initiative also aims to enhance the Group’s economic performance while strengthening collaboration between business functions and the IT department. It involves supporting employees in optimizing the use of digital tools and fostering a modern and effective IT culture across the organization.

Assessment and Strategic Recommendations

To lay the groundwork for effective transformation, Onepoint conducted a detailed assessment of the current situation in each business area, along with a comprehensive diagnosis of the IT department. Interviews and workshops helped identify areas for improvement in terms of organization, processes, and governance. These recommendations were submitted to the executive committee, which then defined strategic priorities to lead the transformation forward.

Co-Construction of Target Processes and Organization

A collaborative effort between business units and the IT department led to the definition of target processes and organizational models. By structuring this approach, Maïsadour established a long-term strategic vision for IT while clarifying the management of its project portfolio. Roles and responsibilities related to change management were redefined to ensure strong ownership of information systems. IT training needs were also identified to strengthen key skills across departments.

« The IMPACT project marks a key milestone in our journey toward greater IT maturity. Working closely with Onepoint, we were able to identify and implement strategies that reinforce synergy between our various business units.
This digital transformation is essential to support our commitment to the agroecological and food transition, while ensuring long-term economic performance for the Group.

AI Awareness and Experimentation

In parallel, Maïsadour launched an AI awareness and experimentation initiative. In partnership with Onepoint, the Group positioned itself as an early adopter in the field of generative AI. The executive committee and branch leadership teams were sensitized to the technology, and 40 employees from various departments received dedicated training. A user charter was also developed to provide a structured framework for AI usage.

Over a three-month period, experimentation workshops explored the potential applications of generative AI, with a strong focus on Maïsadour’s specific processes and activities. This phase led to the identification of high-value use cases for the company.

Towards Continuous Digital Transformation

Maïsadour and Onepoint teams continue to work together to support the Group’s digital transformation. With an optimized organization and a thoughtful integration of generative AI, Maïsadour is advancing steadily toward its goals of IT maturity and innovation—fully aligned with its mission to lead the agroecological and food transition of tomorrow.
