Onepoint, architect of major transformations, firmly believes that education and training are the primary drivers of transformation, making this area a strategic focus of its development.

Through our experts, researchers, and trainers, we support stakeholders in the field from the strategy phase, technological consulting, and support for the implementation of projects in which we are actively involved through our research activities via the Onepoint Institute and training through the Onepoint School.

Use cases

The General Directorate for Research and Innovation (DGRI) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research aims to accelerate the transformation of its digital resources management to meet the growing demand for digital services that will keep French education and research at the forefront of European and global excellence, while reducing its environmental impact.

To speed up its roadmap, Onepoint is supporting the ministry’s teams in defining the deployment trajectory for digital services within a federation of ESR (Higher Education and Research) data centers offering shared services, orchestrated regionally or nationally, with the goal of providing optimized infrastructure services (cloud, distributed, hybrid, commercial or community services for research/education at the European level) in addition to an already mature internal offering.

Solution

To address the challenges of reducing hosting resources, service consolidation/centralization, and deploying secure services for end users, Onepoint proposed a four-phase approach:

  • Mapping the existing digital service offerings through questionnaires and collaborative workshops.
  • Co-creating the target service catalog.
  • Defining the transformation trajectory and the creation of services.
  • Defining the operational framework for upcoming migrations and the change management support plan.

Results

Along with technological expertise enabling the production of maps and roadmaps, the Ministry benefited from our methodological expertise in collective intelligence to unify stakeholders toward a shared target.
