Context and Need

Following a number of operational incidents or near-incidents that impacted the Securities Operations (OST) of the Equity Derivatives business line at a major French investment bank, a project to ensure the reliability of the entire OST process was initiated in September 2014.

Solution

Onepoint conducted a detailed analysis of the OST processing chain, resulting in 41 recommendations covering organizational, process, and IT system aspects, along with an implementation roadmap. Onepoint also took charge of the IT system overhaul.

Results

Optimization of processes, reduction of outstanding items, and deployment of a new, innovative web application that automates the dividend processing and orchestrates all steps of the OST process.

Context and Need

This Fintech, born from a consortium of 9 strategic market players, aims to develop a settlement/delivery infrastructure for financial instruments using Blockchain technology, dedicated to SMEs wishing to access the financial market through an efficient and lightweight solution.

Solution

Onepoint supported this Fintech by providing its expertise during the platform development process: technical expertise by conducting an audit of the solution, business expertise through its knowledge of the Post-Trade domain, and by managing development teams in France and abroad.

Results

This Fintech was able to demonstrate the viability of its model through a full-scale pilot, executed over three days with various market players, including regulators.
